The meeting was opened by the host and chairman of the assembly, Rabbi Yitzhak Guggenheim, Chief Rabbi of Paris and member of the Council of European Rabbis, who emphasized the grave responsibility placed on rabbis today to uphold the principles of Halacha handed down from generation to generation and to bring European Jews closer to the tradition of Israel.

The Chief Rabbi was impressed by the extensive activity of the European Rabbinical Center and its leaders and strengthened the rabbis. He promised his assistance and cooperation in strengthening the walls of religion and halakhic law in Europe.
The rabbis discussed at length ways to strengthen Jewish education and prevent any interference by the various governments in the curriculum. The rabbis were also presented with data on the difficult assimilation in European countries and ways to prevent it. The council made a series of decisions to strengthen the walls of religion and education in Jewish communities in Europe.
The rabbis made a series of decisions regarding the establishment of a special marriage registration database for Europe, inspection and supervision of purification baths, strengthening and maintaining Jewish education, supervision of satam products, and a rabbinical committee to handle disputes in Jewish communities.
During the meeting, Rabbi Aryeh Goldberg, CEO of the center, Rabbi Yosef Beinhacker, Deputy CEO of the center, and Rabbi Avraham Abba Toretzky, Secretary of the Council of European Rabbis, reviewed for the rabbis the center's ever-expanding activities, with assistance in establishing purification mikvahs, halachic and professional seminars and courses, Jewish education programs tailored to different ages, distributing Hanukkah candles, delivering meals and matzot to European Jews, slaughtering poultry and meat in a luxurious kosher manner at an affordable price, establishing charity centers to lend medical equipment to Jewish communities, bringing groups of youth on a trip to the Land of Israel, and more.
The rabbis expressed special gratitude and appreciation for Rabbi Menachem Margolin, chairman of the center, who works day and night to expand the center's activities for the benefit of rabbis and community leaders in Europe.
The Chief Rabbi of Israel and members of the Presidency and Council of European Rabbis visited the huge and magnificent Consistory building in the 17th arrondissement, headed by the president of the central organization in Paris, Yoel Margi, and met with the Jews of the community.
The rabbi, Rabbi Kalman Bar, spoke words of encouragement to them and emphasized that precisely at this time of the 'Iron Swords' war, he felt a greater awakening to Judaism and mitzvot, and called for the Jewish communities to be encouraged to come to the synagogues for prayers and classes.
The visit to Paris was concluded by the European rabbis, together with the Chief Rabbi, with a visit to the luxurious educational institutions "Sinai" headed by Rabbi Yosef Yitzhak Pevzner, where thousands of students study.
