The Prime Minister's Office attacked Shin Bet chief Onan Bar this evening (Thursday) - in light of reports on Channel 12 about what happened on the night of October 7th."
The bureau said in a statement to the media: "Also according to the graphic timeline presented this evening on 'News 12', it appears that at 4:30 AM it was already clear to the outgoing head of the Shin Bet that a raid on the State of Israel was possible.".
The bureau raised several questions about Ronen Bar's conduct. "Why didn't he warn the prime minister at that moment? Why didn't he alert the heads of the settlements in the Gaza enclave? Why was the prime minister's military secretary first informed only a few minutes before the attack began?""
The bureau added: "A few simple, basic actions could have saved many lives, wounded and kidnapped. This is a fact, not a conspiracy.".
