The Jerusalem Magistrate's Court ruled, in the absence of a defense, that two Arabs who recorded themselves on TikTok humiliating and pushing a Jew who was walking near the Nablus Gate in Jerusalem about four years ago will compensate him in the amount of 340,000 shekels.
After the incident, the Arabs were caught, put on trial, and sentenced to community service. After their conviction, Attorney Haim Bleicher of Mhonen filed a civil lawsuit against them for 300,000 shekels.
In the lawsuit filed by Attorney Bleicher, he describes the incident: "On July 26, 2021, the defendants were walking in the Shaar Shechem area and noticed the plaintiff who was dressed in Haredi clothing, followed him for several minutes and attacked him, solely because he was Jewish. Defendant 1 pushed the plaintiff, while Defendant 2 filmed what was happening and uploaded the footage to the social network 'TikTok.' After the attack, the two fled the scene.".
Attorney Bleicher: "We welcome the verdict. We will continue to work to make those Islamic rioters pay heavy prices for their sabotaging - anti-Semitic activity. We believe that this activity strengthens deterrence and contributes to the citizens' sense of security.".
