Demonstrations against Hamas in Gaza: Media outlets identified as opponents of Hamas published today (Wednesday) footage of demonstrations against the terrorist organization in Shajaiyah in the northern Gaza Strip.

The protesters were recorded in videos posted on social media, chanting: "For the sake of Allah, Hamas out. We want to live." The latter chant is also the slogan of the anti-Hamas protests in 2019.

Signs read "Enough with wars" and chants were heard: "We don't want war.".

Yesterday, demonstrations against the terrorist organization were also observed in the northern Gaza Strip - where the demonstrators chanted: "The people do not want war, the people do not want Hamas and do not want the Al-Jazeera channel.".

At the same time, it was reported that Hamas was trying to violently evacuate the protesters.

In another demonstration yesterday against Hamas, the Gazans shouted: "There is no food, no medical equipment. We are sitting here in garbage.".

Eyal Ofer, an expert on Hamas's economy, told Maariv: "The big story, maybe even the huge one, in the Gaza Strip are the demonstrations. The realization of the protest on such a scale and intensity surprised me too. We have to remember that this sentiment has existed there for a long time, but until now we have not seen it come out in such a way.".

Ofer points out an important detail that clarifies the significance of the demonstrations: "Even Al-Jazeera, which is identified with the Hamas propaganda line, was forced to admit yesterday that the demonstrations are against Hamas. That says a lot.".

According to him, this is not an ideological change on the part of the residents of Gaza, but an existential concern: “It is clear to anyone who listens to the content of the calls that the demonstrators are not Zionists. They are people who are worried that they may experience another displacement. They see the IDF issuing evacuation notices, and they know that Hamas will try to prevent this evacuation, even if it means abandoning their lives. We must remember that Hamas was and remains the main armed force that practically controls the population of Gaza without mercy. Hamas was never interested in being responsible for the sewage in Jabalia or for installing stop signs in Khan Yunis.”.

In parallel with the protest in the northern Gaza Strip, a statement attributed to clans and tribes in the southern Gaza Strip was published today - which reads: "We, families and tribes from the southern Gaza Strip districts, call on families to convey the message to their sons who work with Hamas or participate in the oppression of civilians, to stop these acts that harm our people, and the exploitation of young people for issues that do not serve the national interest. We will not remain silent about the attack on innocent civilians.".

The announcement comes against the backdrop of footage of Hamas terrorists abusing civilians or demanding protection in the Khan Yunis area in recent weeks.

Following this, the tribes of the southern Gaza Strip shouted: "We condemn media outlets and journalists who ignored the voice of the people and did not convey the popular anger that has been going on for the past 24 hours.".

This is a criticism of channels and broadcasters affiliated with Hamas, such as Al-Jazeera, which ignored the protest in the northern Gaza Strip yesterday.

In the southern Gaza Strip, they called for a "Day of Rage" this Friday: "We call on everyone to participate in the Friday of Rage, raise our voices and demand an end to the war, and an end to Hamas' control of Gaza. This is a historic moment designed to emphasize that we want a political solution that will bring peace and security, without further exile or destruction.".
