Against the backdrop of the renewed war in Gaza and the public discourse surrounding the conscription law: Naftali Bennett arrived today (Tuesday) at the University of Haifa to participate in the Marom Master's Program conference in Public Administration and Policy for the Haredi population at the School of Political Science.
During the conference, Bennett met with Haredi students participating in the program and spoke about the importance of recruiting the Haredi population into the IDF: "At approximately 2:30 in the morning, the IDF launched an attack together with the Air Force on Hamas in Gaza. The IDF is fighting for the entire people of Israel, and therefore everyone must show up. Zero tolerance for any hint of refusal or failure to show up for the campaign. May God protect the IDF soldiers.
Bennett attacked the government: "With one hand, the government sends soldiers to fight in battle, and with the other hand, it promotes a budget that massively encourages the embezzlement of billions that polarizes the people of Israel.

""I call on the government to stop this immediately, certainly until the fighting ends. I call on all members of the Knesset not to raise their hand in favor of a budget that encourages evasion, and those who do, know that a black flag is flying above it.".
The ultra-Orthodox students stood up demonstratively and left the hall.
