Security officials admit: Some of the abductees were held in unknown locations in Gaza

במערכת הביטחון מודים, כי חלק מהחטופים הוחזקו במקומות שלא הוערכו נכון. זאת, לאחר תחקור החטופים שהוחזרו בעסקה עם חמאס. כך דוול הערב (ראשון) ב'כאן חדשות'. המשמעות: החשש מפגיעה בחטופים והגבלת אזורי התמרון ברצועה לפני הפסקת האש היו נכונים, כי ישראל לא ידעה לסמן איפה יש - ולא פחות מזה, איפה אין חטופים.

Last September, it was reported that the IDF presented the political echelon with a dilemma regarding the continuation of the fighting - whether to continue the maneuver in additional areas of the Gaza Strip, even at the cost of risking additional hostages. The background was the murder of the six hostages in a tunnel in August, when the IDF was operating near the area.
