The Pied Piper of Hamelin, the robotic version: During a technological experiment by a robotics company in Shanghai, China, a small robot managed to convince robots from a competing company to follow it.
Five Stars: A Passover vacation like never before in the ultra-Orthodox sector
During the test, the robot approached robots from a competing company - and asked: "Why are you working overtime?"
One of the robots replied: "I never leave work, I don't have a home."
The robot immediately responded: "Come, I'll take you to my house" - while showing him the way out of the showroom, and so 10 robots larger than him joined him and followed him.
Dr. Roy Yozevich, an artificial intelligence expert, explained on the program 'Night Stories' hosted by Yehuda Schlesinger on Channel 14: "The robots did not communicate in human language, but in technical communication protocols, like autonomous cars that update each other to prevent accidents."
According to him, this was an experiment involving two competing companies, and the small robot succeeded in hacking into a low frequency to make the robots recognize it as part of their system - and act according to its instructions.
