Egyptian diplomatic sources told the Qatari newspaper Al-Arabi Al-Jadeed today (Tuesday) that the disagreement between Egypt and the United States over the expulsion of the Gazans means the most prominent crisis between the countries in three decades.
According to a report in 'Kan News', the sources claimed that Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi is expected to postpone his visit to Washington due to Trump's plan.
The sources also claimed that Trump's threats that American aid to Egypt would be cut off would result in the peace agreement between Israel and Egypt "being meaningless."
According to the Al-Arabiya channel in Egypt, there has been no information so far about any harm to American aid to Cairo.
As part of this, it was reported that Egypt had prepared emergency plans to deal with American pressure on the issue of Gazan immigration, while it was noted that its opposition to the American plan was final and that it refused to withdraw from it.
The American president was asked in an interview with Fox News yesterday about the next steps in his plan to relocate Palestinians from Gaza, and he replied that residents who are evacuated to other countries will not have the option to return. "They will not have the right because they will have much better housing," the president said. "I'm talking about building a permanent place for them. It will take years for them to be able to return. I think I can make a deal with Jordan and Egypt, because we give them billions of dollars a year."
