Security guard arrested an Arab woman who was walking around suspiciously - his weapon was confiscated for a week

About a week ago, a member of the emergency squad of a settlement near the seam line was called to an incident in which it was reported that an Arab woman was walking around suspiciously in the settlement. The resident arrived at the scene and demanded that the woman identify herself. The woman replied that she worked as a teacher at the school in the settlement and that her ID card was in her car. The resident took a photo of the woman for identification purposes, verified her identity with officials in the settlement, and released her on her way. After the incident, the Arab woman claimed that the resident had threatened her with his weapon, and the police confiscated the resident's weapon for a week. Attorney Adi Kedar of the Honenu organization, who represents the resident, appealed to the Magistrate's Court in Kfar Saba, requesting that it order the return of the resident's weapon, since the incident was recorded on the settlement's security cameras, which prove that there was no threat with a weapon. The court accepted Attorney Kedar's claim and ruled today (Wednesday) that the resident's weapon be immediately returned to him. Attorney Kedar said: "This is a puzzling case in which, without a simple check of the community's security cameras, the police choose to accept the complainant's version and confiscate the weapon of my client, who did his job faithfully in a professional and humane manner. The community where my client lives is near the seam line, whose residents are ultra-Orthodox and are preparing for the possibility of an event along the lines of the October Sabbath. This fact clearly highlights my client's performance in the event. I welcome the court's decision to return my client his weapon immediately.".
