The IDF announced that it intercepted a Hezbollah reconnaissance drone this morning (Thursday) that was launched towards Israeli territory. The drone was intercepted in Lebanese airspace and had earlier triggered alarms in the Metula area. This is the first interception that Israel has carried out since the ceasefire went into effect about two months ago. Commentator Amit Segal wrote: "Another test for Israel - will it also respond disproportionately to photographic sorties in its territory?" According to the agreement between Israel and Lebanon, the IDF was supposed to transfer its control of the territories it occupied to Lebanon - but due to the fact that Lebanon did not bring enough forces and thus violated the agreement - it was decided to extend the deadline for Israel to leave the country.
