A four-month-old baby died this morning (Monday) at Assuta Hospital in Ashdod, after being evacuated in critical condition from the family home. His family noticed that the baby had not woken up from his sleep and called the rescue forces, who arrived at the scene and found the baby unconscious. They evacuated him while performing CPR to Assuta Hospital in Ashdod - where he was pronounced dead by the doctors who were fighting for his life. "The toddler lost consciousness while sleeping," said paramedics Moti Weinberg, Aharon Nogarian and Efi Greidinger. "We performed CPR on him and evacuated him to the hospital while continuing resuscitation efforts." The Assuta Public Hospital in Ashdod said: "Unfortunately, despite the doctors' efforts, the four-month-old baby who was brought to us in critical condition by United Hatzalah, died. The hospital would like to express its condolences to the family." United Hatzalah resilience teams were called to the scene to support the family. The family members are residents of the city of Ariel who came to stay at the grandmother's house. The baby's father was at the morning prayer in the synagogue when the rescue forces were called.
