Iran and Hezbollah's smuggling corridor: After the overthrow of the Assad regime, the rebels in Syria uncovered a huge tunnel in the Qalamoun mountain range between Syria and Lebanon. The tunnel is particularly wide and allows for easy and orderly passage of trucks and vehicles. In the documentation published on social media, trucks and bulldozers are seen, and the cameramen - who are riding motorcycles inside the giant tunnel - claim to see surface-to-surface missile batteries and weapons depots. The tunnel includes lighting infrastructure for safe underground passage. For years, the tunnel and other tunnels were used to smuggle weapons from Syrian territory to Hezbollah in Lebanon. According to Arab reports, the underground tunnel was discovered near the city of Al-Qatifa, north of Damascus. This is another blow to Hezbollah, since in addition to blocking the land route in eastern Syria, the rebels now take control of one of the major crossings between Syria and Lebanon.
