During the Patriots program on Channel 14 last night (Wednesday), panelist Yaki Adamker, a 'Walla' reporter and 'Kol Barna' presenter, revealed that he received a phone call from a senior official in the Attorney General's Office, who warned him against statements and criticisms he expressed on the program and on social media.
According to Adamker, the conversation took place about three weeks ago, during which the source claimed that the ultra-Orthodox media figure's tweets, as well as statements he made on the program, "crossed a line."
According to him, the conversation was intended to convey a threatening message to him, according to which he must reduce the criticism he expresses before the prosecution takes action against him.
In the discussion that followed the revelation in the studio, panelist Yotam Zimri wondered why Adamkar refrained from revealing the identity of the person who called him.
Zimri said: "We are maintaining a corrupt system here that will continue to intimidate journalists and do whatever it wants."
Adamkar replied that this was a person from one of the most senior offices in the Attorney General's Office, but chose not to reveal names or additional details.
Adamker sharply criticized the conduct of the judicial system, claiming that this is a pattern of action that has been repeated in recent years. He noted that since the investigations in Case 4000 and the filing of indictments against the prime minister, the conduct of the prosecution has raised significant question marks. According to him, the call he received reflects an attempt to silence journalists who express legitimate criticism.
