The orientalist and senior researcher at the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs, Yoni Ben-Menachem, was interviewed today (Tuesday) on the Israel Morning program on Channel 14, hosted by Ido Tauber - and warned: "According to the latest leaks, the agreement is good for the Iranians, which means it is bad for Israel." Ben-Menachem said: "According to the leaks coming from Lebanon, if Iran gives the green light to the agreement and tells Hezbollah that they can ratify it, this means that the agreement is good for Iran and Hezbollah - which means it is very bad for Israel." He attacked: "The talk about the Lebanese army disarming Hezbollah is a bad joke. Only Israel can disarm Hezbollah, not UNIFIL or the Lebanese army. We need to stop deceiving ourselves and not rely on guarantees from the Biden administration, which is ending its term in two months.".
