Yesterday, ZAKA volunteers were called to HaZeitim Street in the city of Ramat Gan to care for and provide for the 'dignity of the dead' - an 84-year-old elderly man who died in his home. The volunteers who arrived at the scene assisted the family members throughout the process. Today (Monday) at noon, ZAKA volunteers were again called to care for the 'dignity of the dead', at the same address - this time an 85-year-old elderly woman died in her home. The volunteers who arrived at the scene were amazed to discover that it was the same address, and that it was the spouse of the deceased from last night. The volunteers handled everything sensitively and accompanied the family members during their difficult time. The funeral of the late couple Eti and Rami Cohen will take place tomorrow at the Yarkon Cemetery in Petah Tikva. Israel Hasid, ZAKA spokesperson: "ZAKA volunteers were called to HaZeitim Street in the city of Ramat Gan within 24 hours to care for two couples who died in their homes. "The volunteers treated the family with sensitivity and accompanied them. It is very unfortunate and painful to see that elderly parents, aged 80, passed away together.".
