Wieder demands immediate removal of Seibert from mayor's office: 'The center of his life is abroad''

Yaakov Wider, a member of the Bnei Brak City Council, submitted a motion for order today (Monday) demanding the removal of Mayor Hanoch Seibert, due to the fact that "it seems that the center of his life is abroad." Wider notes in his motion that "according to the publications and documents that are repeatedly leaked to the networks about the repeated stays and many and puzzling outings of Mayor Mr. Seibert abroad, it appears that the center of his life is abroad and that he cannot serve as mayor of the city." Therefore, Wider suggests, "the city council seeks to immediately remove the mayor, as required by law." According to the documents that were leaked to the network, it appears that the mayor of Bnei Brak was in Europe during the past week, as he has been many times since he began serving as mayor of the eighth largest city in Israel about six months ago. In the video that was leaked and went viral on social media, Seibert is even seen dancing with his associates, after a pampering Shabbat stay in Europe. Wider notes that "as the map shows, "The council in Bnei Brak and the weakness of the members in challenging the political establishment, his proposal has no chance of passing the approval of the majority of the council members, but the issue will be required by law to be discussed - something that could definitely cause quite a headache for the mayor.".
