Psychological terrorism: The Islamic Jihad terrorist organization released a new video today (Friday) of the kidnapped Sasha Tropanov. In the video, Sasha - who was kidnapped from Kibbutz Nir Oz and has been held in Gaza for 406 days - addresses Shas Chairman Aryeh Deri directly, in a text that was apparently dictated to him by his captors, and calls on him to act for his release - in accordance with the legacy of Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, who ruled that "the commandment of ransoming captives - we cannot surpass it." Tropanov asks in the video: "Do not allow Netanyahu and the government to abandon us and steal our lives. Please do not let them make our fate to die here, to die in the darkness of the tunnels in Gaza without burial in the Land of Israel." The abductee adds: "You and all the members of the Shas movement's Council of Torah Sages are the only lifeline I have left against the government that abandoned us, so that I can return to my family in my lifetime. Everything must be done for the ransom of captives, it is what obliges you, and places on your shoulders the great and historic responsibility to do everything for my release." This is the fourth video of Trepanov, a Russian citizen, that the terrorist organization has released. The two videos in which Trepanov was first seen were released in May, two days apart. This time too, Jihad is releasing a video of Trepanov two days after the previous video was released. Trepanov celebrated his 29th birthday on Monday of this week. He was kidnapped from his parents' home in Nir Oz along with his partner Sapir Cohen. His mother Yelena and grandmother Irena were also kidnapped. The mother, grandmother and partner were released in a deal. His father Vitaly, the Rev., was murdered on October 7.
