Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has instructed security agencies to examine the release of hostages by granting amnesty to the kidnappers and deporting them to a third country. According to a report this evening (Tuesday) by military commentator Hillel Biton Rosen on Channel 14, the proposal was raised in the political and security cabinet, and cabinet members decided to advance the idea, which according to security officials could create a positive 'snowball' of releasing many hostages. This is a move that, if successful, could bring about a dramatic change in everything related to the massive effort to free the hostages, which is perhaps the top goal right now in the Gaza Strip, after the elimination of senior figures and the dismantling of Hamas.

Yesterday, at the cabinet meeting, the proposal was raised - which is admittedly an old proposal that was first raised eight months ago - but this time, following the assassination of Yahya Sinwar, security officials told the prime minister that it may be possible to reach a breakthrough in this outline.

According to the outline, a sum of money will also be offered to those holding the hostages, and in addition, exile or amnesty - provided they do not engage in terrorism in the future - in exchange for the handover of a hostage alive.

Any terrorist who does this, or a terrorist cell, will receive this option from Israel.

It is very possible that we will soon see operational steps on this issue.

As reported by Haredim 10, businessman Daniel Birnbaum, former CEO of SodaStream, has offered a cash reward to anyone who holds hostages in the Gaza Strip. Birnbaum announced in a video posted on social media that he was offering a cash reward of $100,000 to anyone who returns Israeli hostages alive, following Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s promise after the assassination of Sinwar that Palestinians who return hostages to Israel will be allowed to leave the Strip safely. In the English video, to which Arabic subtitles were added, Birnbaum said: ”This is a message to the good people in Gaza, my name is Daniel Birnbaum, former CEO of SodaStream, which is traded on the NASDAQ. It has been a terrible year, it is time to move on and make amends. A few days ago, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promised immunity to anyone who hands over hostages to Israel. I would like to add a cash reward to the promise. Anyone who hands over a live Israeli hostage to Israel will receive $100,000, in cash or Bitcoin, whichever you prefer.‘ In an interview on the B network, Birnbaum said: ’I have received more than a hundred inquiries on Telegram and WhatsApp, some of which may be legitimate. I am passing them on to the security establishment.“ He added that ”I have consulted with more than 20 experts on terrorism and security.”.
