The security establishment estimates that the car bomb discovered yesterday at the entrance to the settlement of Ateret in Binyamin was aimed at the student bus that was supposed to leave the settlement for schools in the area. Investigators who arrived at the scene discovered an explosive device inside the vehicle that contained 49 kilos of non-standard explosives and a tiny camera. The camera broadcast a live image to terrorists who were observing the area and waiting for the right moment to blow up the car from a distance - and lead to as many Israelis being murdered as possible. Security forces are continuing an extensive hunt for the terrorists suspected of involvement in the attempted attack. Yesterday, police and army bomb squads blew up the car in which two large gas tanks were found connected to an activation mechanism. The vehicle was located around 4:30 a.m. and security forces were called to the scene.
