During a security operation for families from Bnei Brak who were spending time in the Chabad village, at around 2:30 p.m., a minority from the north of the country entered the pizza shop in the village, stole the keys to an emergency vehicle for immediate response from 'Hazla' that were placed on the table, got into the car - and fled the scene. As soon as the theft was reported, an extensive search operation was launched by 'Hazla' volunteers, the 'Volunteers in the Village' organization, and the Israel Police. After a short chase, and with the guidance of the Ituran call center and remote access to the road cameras, the fleeing vehicle was located and stopped on the Geha Road heading north, with the driver heading towards Judea and Samaria, but was caught with the assistance of volunteers from the organization's motorcycle unit, until the police arrived. Hatzala CEO Yaakov Yosef thanked all those who helped locate the vehicle, especially the brave volunteers who volunteered for the mission. "We emphasize the importance of cooperation between the various rescue and emergency organizations, which has proven itself in this case." [Gallery] Moishela Gutman, chairman of 'Volunteers in the Village', called on all residents not to leave a moving vehicle unattended or without keys in a visible place, not even for a moment: "Regardless of the challenging times we are in, this is a real danger. Even a child can get into a car and, God forbid, lead to an accident. The end of an act is thoughtless. Correct behavior saves lives.".
