MK Moti Yogev of the Jewish Home Party is calling on his party's ministers, Naftali Bennett, Uri Ariel, and Uri Auerbach, to oppose the 2015 state budget that will be submitted today (Tuesday) for government approval. ""Today, the 2015 budget will be submitted for government approval. The budget proposal includes a sharp cut in the tax benefits provided to peripheral settlements. For example, in Dimona, 19% is a tax discount, which currently encourages families to come and settle in the periphery. This cut will spell disaster for the development processes of the periphery and prevent the significant incentive that families receive to come and live in the periphery.". Yogev added: "The ongoing damage to child benefits, the zero VAT law that does not allow discounts on second-hand apartments for young couples, the postponement of a long school day and the cancellation of after-school subsidies, cuts to preferred jobs for IDF dischargeees - all of these and more constitute damage and deepen gaps in Israeli society in the 2015 budget. "I call on the ministers of the Jewish Home to oppose today these cuts that harm the periphery and the weaker classes in Israel. The Jewish Home must have Jewish social roots and such an impact on the 2015 budget.".
