The office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who has contracted the flu, announced this evening (Monday) that he was examined by his personal doctor - and that his condition is good. "We categorically reject the fake news regarding Prime Minister Netanyahu," the Prime Minister's Office said in response to rumors that his health is not good. The statement said: "Prime Minister Netanyahu has contracted seasonal flu that has infected a large number of office employees." The office added: "Prime Minister Netanyahu was examined tonight by his doctor, Dr. Zvi Herman Berkowitz, and the results of the test showed that the Prime Minister's condition is good." It also said: "Prime Minister Netanyahu continues to make decisions, hold consultations, lead the war, and manage all state affairs." Earlier today, media figure Ben Caspit, who is hostile to the Prime Minister, wrote: "When the 'mild flu' was reported, I knew about severe flu, a very severe cough and fever. There was concern that it could escalate into pneumonia. I don't know if it came true." He added: "This highlights the need for a regular and regulated procedure regarding the health of a prime minister. The current one has not published a full, accurate, detailed and truthful report on his health for a long time." Earlier, the Prime Minister's Office also denied a report by News 12 journalist Yaron Avraham. The office denied the report about Netanyahu's medical condition, which according to Avraham was not a mild flu. "Yaron Avraham's report regarding the prime minister's medical condition is incorrect and irresponsible," the Prime Minister's Office said.
