Lieberman's bill: Prohibition of leaving the country for a yeshiva voter who will not be drafted

Yisrael Beiteinu Party Chairman Avigdor Lieberman said this evening (Sunday) in a post on his Twitter account Because on Wednesday he will submit a “compulsory service” bill that seeks, among other things, to prohibit a yeshiva student who does not enlist from leaving the country.

According to him, """The bill on compulsory service for all, which I initiated and will reach the Knesset plenum on Wednesday, seeks to regulate in law military or civilian service for every young person upon reaching the age of 18, Jewish, Muslim, Christian, Druze and Circassian.".

According to the bill, an 18-year-old who does not enlist in military or civilian service will be subject to the following provisions:

He will be prohibited from leaving Israel; he will not be given any tax benefits under any law; he will not be entitled to benefits for national priority areas; he will not be entitled to a property tax discount.

The evader will also not be entitled to state participation in the payment for the daycare where his children are staying; will not be entitled to affirmative action at an institution of higher education; will not be allowed to work in the civil service or in local government; will not be entitled to participate in the Ministry of Housing's "Price for the Resident" program.
