Amit Segal, the senior political commentator for News 12, sharply attacked MK Tali Gottlieb from the Likud this evening (Tuesday) after her tweet caused a stir.

Gottlieb tweeted last night, after a wave of rumors about the building disaster in Gaza: "Maybe it's enough to drive the public crazy, who is terribly worried? Put an end to the rumors and issue a statement, even if it's a partial statement. We're in 2024. It's unacceptable for the public to receive unofficial news on Telegram." Gottlieb added: "IDF Spokesperson. Please show sensitivity and responsibility. Rumors have been spreading like wildfire for hours. May God protect our heroic, courageous soldiers." Corporate journalist Avishai Greenzig responded to Gottlieb: "Did you think that the rumors have been spreading like wildfire for hours because of people who lack 'sensitivity and responsibility' like you who are spreading these rumors?" Amit Segal wrote in response about the MK: "Promiscuous. "I hope the Likud functionaries send her back where she needs to be sent." Gottlieb responded to the attack: "Mr. Prime Minister, I'm sure your bad advisors don't tell you that they are training your trumpet journalists to go against me. The megalomaniac, right-winger, Amit Segal, today appealed to Likud members to go against me, because the things I write on Twitter annoy him. How dare I really... I promise to continue with more force for the sake of my people and my country.".
