And so he wrote:

""How do you say, one picture - a thousand words... For those who don't know me, I am Daniel, the sole survivor (call it whatever you want) of the Tiger disaster, the same disaster that occurred on October 31st, on our fifth day of entry, in which 11 out of 12 heroic fighters who were in that Tiger were killed, and I was the only one left.".

What you see in the picture is my tiger, or at least what was left of it after the disaster.

I took this photo about a month after the disaster, after a month during which I was sedated and ventilated in critical condition for two weeks, when the same guys working on my Tiger granted my request that I made the day I woke up, that the day I would finally be able to get back on my feet, that they would let me come and see the vehicle, the same vehicle that served as my home for almost a month in the assembly grounds, the same vehicle that I slept in more than I slept in my own home in the past year, the same vehicle that I cared for more than I cared for myself and that I took care of every day as if it were my own child, so that it would return to me and protect me just as much on the battlefield, and here it was protecting me.

When we went to war, it was clear to us that in war, as in war, there would be wounded, there would be dead, maybe even from our own team, but that didn't bother us because before our eyes was a goal higher than anything else, and that was to protect our home, our land, which we have no other, and our families, so that they could return to living in peace and without fear.

But this? We never imagined this in our lives, not even in our worst nightmares, that 11 warriors, heroes, legends, and golden people, one by one, would be gone from us with one blow, with the same weapon, in the same second… I don't know how I stayed, most say it's a miracle, and they're probably right, but I know one thing and that's the reason why I stayed, and that's to commemorate those 11 lions, who were my home and second family all along the way, some of them were there with me from day one in the army, and went through so much with me, and those I got to know later, managed to be engraved in my heart and soul, each in their own way, and I want everyone to know who and what they were, angels one by one.

My dear brothers, my friends, my family.

I had the privilege and pleasure of getting to know each and every one of you, and experiencing your last moments with you, in which you also laughed, as only you know, as you have never laughed in your life...""

The fighters Lior Siminowitz, Ido Ovadia, Fedya Mark, Roy Dawi, Adi Danan, Adi Leon, Shai Arvos, Hillel Solomon, Erez Myshlovsky, Itay Yehuda and Roy Saragosti died in the heavy disaster.
