Two bodies of kidnapped people were rescued from Gaza in a special operation by the IDF and Shin Bet.

The bodies of the kidnapped Eden Zechariah and Sergeant Major Ziv Dado were rescued by IDF forces through the activities of fighters from Unit 504 in the Intelligence Branch and Brigade 551 from the Gaza Strip to the territory of the State of Israel. Eden, 27, from Rishon LeZion, was kidnapped from a party by criminals. She went to the party with her partner, Ofek Kimhi, 23, who was murdered at the party, and with her friend Livnat Algazi, who survived. During the shooting, she spoke to her father on the phone and told him about the situation. It is also known that she was kidnapped while she was injured in the upper body.

Ziv Yad, 36, was kidnapped and killed while serving as a logistics foreman in the 51st Battalion of the Golani Brigade - and to this day he is recognized as a victim kidnapped by a terrorist organization.

Stav, the widow of Sergeant Major Ziv Dado, told Channel 13 this evening: "He had an amazing connection with our daughter. I will tell her that her father was a hero." According to her, "They explained to us that his body was recovered as part of a special operation and that I can finally bring him to the Israel Grave properly. On the one hand, it's a relief, because this is what this great man deserves. On the other hand, it's hard - because it's final. My husband is no longer with me.".

במסגרת הפעילות שאפשרה את איתור הגופות, נפלו רס"ר (מיל׳) גל מאיר איזנקוט הי"ד ורס"ר (מיל׳) איל מאיר ברקוביץ׳ הי"ד ונפצעו לוחמים נוספים. "המשימה הלאומית שעומדת לנגד עינינו היא איתור הנעדרים והשבת כל החטופים הביתה. אנו פועלים יחד עם גופי הביטחון, בכל האמצעים המודיעיניים והמבצעיים להשיב את כל החטופות והחטופים הביתה", אומרים בצה"ל.
