The Ministry of Welfare and Social Security opened the Israeli Volunteer Center to assist the public who wish to volunteer to assist in the civilian effort. The hotline, which began operations last week, has already received hundreds of calls from citizens seeking to volunteer and assist. The hotline connects volunteers with associations, initiatives, and organizations that work to assist the population and the army in the war effort. The hotline routes volunteers to places where assistance is needed, thereby helping to effectively streamline the allocation of resources. Director General of the Ministry of Welfare and Social Security Yinon Aharoni: "From the moment the difficult events in the south became known, we began to receive a huge surge of requests to assist the welfare systems, and we thank each and every one who reached out. The new hotline will regulate the field of volunteering so that citizens who want to help will know that they are being sent to the place where they are needed most." Minister of Welfare and Social Security Yaakov Margi: "It is exciting to see the people of Israel in all their glory! Since the outbreak of the war, many people have been reaching out to volunteer, assist, and participate in activities for the residents of the Gaza Strip and the south during this difficult period. The Ministry of Social Affairs is working and will continue to work with civil society from Nablus to Nablus and thanks the tens of thousands of volunteers who are seeking to take part in the national effort. This is social solidarity! This is national resilience. To register, send a WhatsApp message to 050-2089630, or call 8103 and email
