Holding the walls of Mea Shearim • The Weekly Pashkvil

Haredim 10

The frequent visits of the Haredi public to zoos during the Hol HaMoed holidays may have brought motifs from the animal world to the bulletin boards in Mea Shearim. • Another poster revealed an IDF intelligence network in the heart of civilian Haredi concentrations. • Difficult images to watch.

Eliyahu Cohen, a yeshiva student who was imprisoned for failing to report, has already been released to his home, and calm has returned to the streets of Jerusalem, despite the fighting.

But the calm was deceptive.

Beneath the surface, the creative section of the Jerusalem faction came to life, and in collaboration with the more experienced members of the "community" began drafting posters calling for a ban on reporting to the draft board. This was their big moment.

Two fascinating posters received special attention. The first, which also incorporated elements from the animal world such as 'The Ostrich, the Wolf and the Lion', and the second, 'The Agents Poster'.

In "Pashkvil Bat Ya'ena," its drafters mock the order to report to the KKOM with an open warning that such a step will lead those reporting directly into the cruel clutches of the IDF, and to the irreversible loss of 17 years of Torah and piety.

In the 'Agents' poster, its members know how to talk about recruiting field agents for the IDF, and in a text that sends shivers down the readers' hearts, the fact is revealed that in the heart of the camp there are quite a few dangerous collaborators who work in the field for the enemy. The proof: Ayelet Shaked from the 'Reform House' once said that she has contacts with Haredi elements.

Just be careful.
