Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara, who are vacationing in the Golan Heights, visited the Hermon site today (Wednesday), toured the site and viewed the Golan Heights. Netanyahu and his wife met with soldiers from the Nahal Battalion serving there, and sat with them for a short conversation over coffee in the field. The Prime Minister: "It evokes many feelings in me, first of all nostalgia - as a soldier, as a commander, I was here a lot many years ago, with many operations, mainly in the snow. It's nice to be here in the sun and look at the wonderful development of the Golan Heights that we are all working on; to see our great soldiers, who gave me a little coffee; and to truly know that we are stepping on territory that will forever remain under Israeli sovereignty. "This is something that was not obvious decades ago when I served here, and today it is understandable to everyone - and it is an important thing. Besides, it is nice to show my wife that I used to be young and I would skip over the hills." In the guest book of the 405th Tiger Battalion of the Artillery Corps, Netanyahu wrote: "We support you in your important mission - protect Mount Hermon and protect each other." Sara Netanyahu wrote to the wives of the soldiers and commanders: "Continue to be supportive and strong - because you are the strength of your warriors, friends and spouses, and raise your children to love the people and the country - like their fathers." She signed: "Strength! With love, Sara Netanyahu.".
