Television host Guy Lehrer today (Monday) called on left-wingers to cease their struggles against Chabad tefillin stands placed throughout the cities. In a tweet he posted on his Twitter account, Lehrer wrote: "My secular and liberal brothers, men of truth and freedom, there are so many important struggles to wage, so many threats in the public sphere - leave the polite Chabadniks and their stands alone.". Lehrer's comments were published after a video was released today showing the results of hatred and incitement: a young Chabadnik who placed tefillin on passersby. At Habima Square in Tel Aviv, he encountered shocking hatred from an "enlightened" woman who was passing by. After the recording of the insults was published, Minister Ben Gvir responded: "I saw the shocking video in which a Chabadnik who put on tefillin in Habima Square in Tel Aviv 'earns' hatred from a passerby. I condemn it. We must stop the hatred that is spreading and destroying every good part. Haredi is my brother.". Media person Noam Zigman from Kol Brama tweeted: "A video of a heinous crime has been distributed documenting a young Chabad follower who, in a light-hearted manner, placed Tefillin To two young men (more or less his age). The anonymous woman speaks rudely, frightening the young boys whose only sin is assuming Tefillin. "A small word for that wicked one: Great, strong, and better than you in the nations of the world have tried, and failed. Only because of the wind.".  The one leading the fight against Chabad tefillin stands on city streets is Naor Narkiss, who leads a movement called 'Israel Naora' - and in recent days has been calling on citizens to report to the police and complain about the tefillin stands. So far, he claims, dozens of complaints have been filed. Media figure Menachem Cohen wrote: ""Against the dark wave spread by Naor Narkis - it would be a good idea for all religious and ultra-Orthodox members to join Chabad followers this coming Friday and set up booths Tefillin "On every corner. This is not a battle over tefillin - but over Judaism. In the face of darkness, there is only one answer: to increase the light, as much as possible. We got through the KGB, we will also get through the hate trend of the summer of 2023.".  Rabbi Aharon Dov Halperin, editor of 'Kfar Chabad', commented on the war on the tefillin stalls: "Peace be upon you, Naor. Today, the Chabad Hasidim celebrate the holiday of redemption. The Hivsteks, the Jewish department of the KGB, persecuted them, tortured them, sent them to prison for teaching Jewish children to put on tefillin. The Chabadniks did not shy away from them and will not shy away from you. Operation Tefillin - will be strengthened dozens of times. For every stall you try to close - 10 moons will rise.".
