Meklit described: "It started on a routine day. At noon we heard a crazy barrage of gunshots. We couldn't believe it was inside the house, because gunshots here are a routine thing. I went to my son's bed in the room and saw that his entire bed was covered in shrapnel. Next to his bed I found a bullet that had created shrapnel. My son is nine months old. "Luckily, one bullet entered the house, but there are about 11 bullets in the outer wall of the house. We were surprised and just froze in place. Our neighbors are very nice, I had no idea why someone would shoot at our neighbors like that during the day. "We went downstairs and saw a 'beautiful rainbow' that wasn't anywhere else. What we realized afterwards was that the shooting was a 'mistake of identification.' That's what the police said." Meklit: "I know the shooting was carried out from a vehicle. It's a shocking story. No one should have to go through this. This is not a normal reality of life. The police may know who the shooter is, but they didn't tell us that. They probably caught the shooters, but that doesn't take anything back.".
