President Yitzhak Herzog, who met the contestants yesterday, told them: "The Bible is like a spring that never stops producing water, living water. I love the Bible very much. I read it, and every time I find a verse, you can find different interpretations for it, and that is the genius of the Bible. It is not just the story as it is. Love of the Bible opens horizons and allows us to understand life, and also gives us a deep Jewish, Zionist identity and a connection to the Land of Israel."
