Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu intended to call for dialogue in his speech last night and even propose a timeout in the legislation of the legal reform - but refrained from saying so due to Justice Minister Yariv Levin's threat to resign. This was reported this evening (Thursday) by Sefi Ovadia on Channel 13. Netanyahu intended to accept the president's compromise proposal and propose between a week and ten days of a halt in the legislation for the sake of dialogue. However, the Prime Minister received a threatening message from Justice Minister Yariv Levin, according to which if the legislation of the legal reform is halted for even one day, he will resign from his position. Minister Levin opposes the petition because it will disrupt all the schedules of the legislative plans and it will not be possible to complete its first phase during the current session of the Knesset. The Prime Minister's Office and the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Justice issued a joint response: "Fake news. It never existed and will never be created.".
