שרת החינוך יפעת שאשא ביטון התייחסה היום (רביעי),  בריאיון לאסתי פרז בתוכנית 'בחצי היום' ברשת ב' לדקירת התלמיד אתמול בבית ספר התיכון ברחובות. "התלמידים רואים את האלימות בכבישים, בסופרים, בבתי החולים ובקופות החולים - זה מה שהם פוגשים", אמרה השרה היוצאת. "זה מתחיל כאן כי בסוף אם אנחנו רואים שזה מגניב לשלוף אקדח וללכת עם אקדחים והכול בצורה מוחצנת, ושזה משתלם להיות בריון - ואם לבן גביר מותר אז הילדים אומרים 'מותר גם לי'". Otzma Yehudit Chairman Itamar Ben-Gvir, who is slated to be the Minister of National Security, responded: "The failed minister in the most failed government in Israel - who has abandoned the lives of citizens throughout the past year - should be ashamed. During her government's tenure, the lives of citizens were destroyed by Minister Bar Lev, who failed in his role - the Minister of Public Security. In a right-wing government, the citizens of Israel will breathe a sigh of relief.".
