Last night, the police arrested a resident of the ultra-Orthodox city of Elad, in her 30s, on suspicion of causing serious injuries to her daughter, using a hair straightener and scissors. The arrest was made after investigators at the Rosh Ha'ayin police station opened an investigation yesterday after receiving a report of suspected harm to a girl resident of Elad by her mother. According to the suspicion, the mother used to cause burns to her daughter and harm her, using a hair straightener and scissors. After her interrogation, the mother was imprisoned. Today (Thursday) she was brought to a hearing at the Petah Tikva Magistrate's Court for a hearing on a request to extend her detention.
