Terrorism in Samaria: Three Jews were murdered and three others were seriously injured in a stabbing and driving attack that occurred this morning (Tuesday) in the Ariel industrial area and on Highway 5 between the Lefauel interchange and the Shaar Hashomron checkpoint.

Rescue forces called to the scene provided medical treatment to the injured and evacuated them to Beilinson Medical Center in Petah Tikva. The attack took place in three locations: The terrorist arrived at the entrance gate of the industrial zone and stabbed a security guard, who was slightly injured. Another security guard who was on the scene fired into the air and did not neutralize him. The IDF is investigating why the terrorist was not neutralized.

From there, the terrorist fled to the "Ten" gas station and stabbed four people, one of whom was pronounced dead at the scene. Three others - one in critical condition who was later pronounced dead and two in serious condition - were evacuated to Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva.

From there, the terrorist stole a commercial vehicle and fled to Route 5, ran over an Israeli standing on the side of Route 5 - and got stuck. He stole a vehicle from a citizen who was treating the wounded man and fled towards Cross Samaria, made a U-turn, and caused a chain reaction accident. After the terrorist got stuck in traffic in Cross Samaria, he tried to escape on foot - and was shot dead by an armored soldier in the artillery division who was on leave. He was standing in traffic, heard gunfire, got out of the vehicle, recognized the terrorist - and shot him. A soldier in the Golani also shot at the terrorist and neutralized him. In total, three Jews were murdered and three were seriously injured. The attack lasted about 20 minutes from the stabbing of the security guard to the elimination of the terrorist.

The terrorist used two vehicles to ram the car, a Berlingo with a sidecar and a BMW.

IDF and Shin Bet forces are hunting for the terrorist's assistant, who drove him to the entrance to the Ariel Industrial Zone. The assistant's identity is known, but he has not yet been captured. According to a Palestinian report, the terrorist is Muhammad Murad Sami Tsuff, 18, a resident of the village of Hars, who worked for a cleaning company called 'Inshal'. According to the Palestinians, he is associated with Fatah and his father was a security prisoner in Israel - and was released. The terrorist had an employment permit - for the Ariel Industrial Zone only. The terrorist's murderous campaign: 1. Stabbings in the industrial zone The terrorist arrived at the entrance gate to the industrial zone in Ariel, took advantage of a lack of attention, and stabbed the security guard, wounding him. He then managed to stab three others in the industrial zone and near the 'Ten' gas station. One of the stabbed people was pronounced dead at the scene, another was critically injured and taken to Beilinson, and two others were taken to the hospital in serious and minor condition. 2. Vehicle theft - and collision with vehicles The terrorist stole a vehicle he found in the gas station compound, and began driving west on Highway 5. At a nearby point on Highway 5, he collided with several vehicles - until his car was stopped. He got out of the vehicle, stabbed another person from the accident, then got into another vehicle and drove at high speed against the direction of traffic, until he collided with another vehicle. At this scene, one of the injured from the collision was pronounced dead, and the person who was stabbed was taken to the hospital in serious condition. 3. The terrorist tries to escape and is neutralized. After getting stuck in the car again, the terrorist got out of the car and tried to escape. An IDF soldier who was at the scene gave chase - shot and killed him. In the footage from the moment of neutralization, the terrorist is seen running on the road and then being thrown to the ground following the shooting. Moti Bookchin, ZAKA spokesman: "This is a terrorist who went on a brutal murder spree - at the scene in SHG Ariel stabbed and wounded two bystanders: one was evacuated in serious condition, the other was evacuated in critical condition and was pronounced dead on the way to the hospital. "From there, he continued to the Ten gas station and hit several bystanders. Unfortunately, a man about 35 years old who suffered a serious injury was killed on the spot, two other wounded men, a 40-year-old and a 36-year-old, were evacuated in serious condition to the hospital. "From there, the terrorist continued on Highway 5 and crashed into several vehicles. Unfortunately, a man about 60 years old was lying on the side of the road unconscious with multiple systemic injuries. An MDA paramedic was forced to confirm his death at the scene. The terrorist was shot at the scene of the accident and killed. ZAKA volunteers from the Shi'a District Team are treating the deceased with dignity at the difficult scenes." Daniel Cohen, a United Hatzalah medic: "Initially, we were informed of a stabbing attack at the entrance gate (S.G.) to the industrial area in Ariel. There I provided assistance to a lightly to moderately injured person. While treating him, we were informed by passersby that the terrorist continued towards the gas station and that there were more casualties there. On the way there, we encountered a man lying lifeless - on the access road to the industrial area, and I continued to the gas station where they told us that there were two more stab wounds. We performed CPR on both of them with the assistance of an IDF and MDA intensive care unit team, who then evacuated the two critically injured. During the CPR, we were informed that the terrorist had fled in a vehicle to Highway 5, where a serious accident had occurred with several vehicles and there were several injured people at the scene. Additional paramedics went there to help." Alan Foss, a United Hatzalah paramedic: "When I arrived at the scene, I encountered two critically injured people as a result of stabbings. I performed CPR on one of them - the driver of the vehicle, and then he was evacuated in an IDF intensive care unit to the hospital in critical condition. While I was performing CPR on the injured person, I was informed that the other injured person was also evacuated from the scene in critical condition. Passersby told us that the terrorist fled the scene." Yuval Zilberpnig, a United Hatzalah medic: "While driving on Highway 5, I came across the scene of a serious accident involving several vehicles. Passersby told me that it was a terrorist who fled the scene of the attack at the gas station and caused the accident. We provided assistance to several victims at the scene and unfortunately one of the injured was pronounced dead." https://twitter.com/kann_news/status/1592438838894284800 Prime Minister-designate Benjamin Netanyahu: "Praying for the peace of those injured in the serious attack in Ariel and strengthening the security forces operating in the field." Religious Zionist Chairman MK Bezalel Smotrich: "On the first day of the new Knesset, we are already receiving a painful reminder of the most important and urgent issue on our table. We must restore security to all citizens of Israel and restore the deterrence that has eroded. I wish a speedy recovery and full recovery to those injured in the attacks in Ariel." United Torah Judaism Chairman Yitzhak Goldknopf: "Even on the day of the Knesset swearing-in, we receive a painful reminder of the reality in which we live. The cruel enemy finds no rest. I praise those who acted to neutralize the terrorist and saved lives, and call on the Prime Minister to respond with a strong hand against the terror that constantly seeks to raise its head. The time has come to stop the inclusive conduct of the outgoing government, and to act firmly against the terrorist organizations." I am on my way to the Western Wall and will pray there for the healing of the wounded and their speedy recovery." The head of the Samaria Regional Council, Yossi Dagan, responded: "This attack is a clear result of the loss of governance and the loss of deterrence by the outgoing government. The incoming government must conduct itself as a national government and must reverse the equation. The one who stands behind this wave of terror and finances it is the terrorist in the guise of Abu Mazen. The Israeli government must make him a security target." Dagan added: "The one who stands behind this wave of terror is the Palestinian Authority, not all kinds of local poisons. Until the Israeli government changes the equation, the attacks will not stop. It is the incoming government's responsibility to restore national honor and this is what will prevent the terrorist attacks. I send a big hug to my friend Eli Shaviru and all the residents of Ariel.".
