Border Guard fighters and undercover agents arrested three suspects in organizing the transportation of illegal immigrants. As part of the operation, a bus with a makeshift hiding place on the floor was seized, and 17 suspects were caught inside. Free emergency hotline: Evacuation of the deceased and everything you need to know about burial The arrest was made following an investigation conducted in the central unit of the Border Guard, which led to activity by the unit's detectives and brigade operatives against suspects in organizing the transportation. Earlier this week, a report was received that the bus was making its way from Judea and Samaria to the center via the Rantis crossing. Border Guard forces prepared for the bus's arrival and stopped it on Route 444. During an inspection of the bus by Border Guard forces, 17 illegal residents and a driver, a resident of Kafr Qassem, who was driving the bus without a driver's license, were caught. A search of the bus by Border Guard soldiers revealed an improvised hiding place that was apparently used by the organizers to hide the illegal residents as they passed through the crossings. When Border Guard soldiers opened the hiding place on the floor of the bus, they discovered stairs and a kind of cubicle where the illegal residents were suspected of hiding. At the same time, Border Guard forces arrested two more suspects in organizing the transportation. All suspects and the findings were transferred for investigation to the Border Guard's central unit. Two of the illegal residents were imprisoned and indictments were filed against them for previous offenses. The suspects' detention was extended yesterday until 19.09.22.
