Last week, the IDF thwarted an unmanned aerial vehicle launched by the terrorist organization Hezbollah from Lebanon towards Israel's exclusive economic waters.

Last Wednesday, the IDF's detection systems identified an unmanned aerial vehicle making its way from Lebanon towards the Karish Reservoir - and it was shot down.

The IDF Spokesperson's Office stated: "IDF forces shot down the vehicle a long distance from the maritime border, there was no threat or danger. The drone is associated with the terrorist organization Hezbollah and was shot down in the maritime space of Lebanon.".

Last Saturday, the IDF intercepted three drones that were launched from Lebanon and flew towards Israel's exclusive economic waters.

One of the vessels was intercepted by an F16 aircraft, and two others were intercepted using Barak missiles from the Navy's missile ship 'Achi Eilat'.

Hezbollah claimed responsibility for the launch, claiming it was carried out for intelligence purposes. The organization emphasized that "the required missions were completed and the message was delivered.".
