Cheaper than ever: Elal's UP brand will fly to 52 destinations this week

Even before the first takeoff, 180,000 flight segments to 52 destinations were sold. On the first day, flights will depart to 5 destinations in Europe.

FlightsUP   Will begin on Sunday, March 30th. to 5 destinations in Europe - Berlin, Budapest, Kiev, Prague and Larnaca. Even before the first takeoff, 180,000 flight segments were sold. David Maimon, CEO of El Al, said that, "Flights UP , bringing a message of renewal, change and response to the changing needs of consumers. In doing so, we join the trend in the international aviation industry and the world's largest airlines, while being attentive to the diverse preferences of our customers. The brand UP , from El Al, allows the customer to build the product that suits them and choose what they pay for. The Israeli consumer has his say, and in the first few months we have already sold over 180,000 flight segments, impressive by any standard. "I am convinced," said the CEO of El Al, "that the move will improve our competitiveness, expand our customer base and provide a better response to the needs of the passenger, all at affordable prices.""

The UP brand brings with it news both in terms of price and frequency to selected destinations. UP offers discounted flights and allows customers to pay only for the services they want to purchase. For the first time, passengers will be able to fly at affordable prices that are hundreds of dollars lower than last year. UP has two flight service classes: UP Basic Economy Class and UP Smart Economy Plus Class. Proper planning of the flight and ordering additional services in advance, such as: luggage, seat placement, and food items, will allow you to save on costs.

Y. Grissero, VP of Service at El Al, and E. Yanai, Director of the Marketing and Advertising Division, presented the principles of the new brand's operations. In response to a question, they noted that discussions are underway at El Al about a second phase of UP, in which additional destinations that could operate under the brand are being examined. As previously announced, UP flights will not be operated on Saturdays.

The brand launch brings news in terms of frequency to selected destinations: Berlin up to 12 weekly flights, Prague up to 11 weekly flights, Kiev up to 11 weekly flights, Budapest: up to 12 weekly flights, Larnaca up to 6 weekly flights. Total for destinations UP  Up to 52 weekly flights.
