According to a report in Israel Hayom, when asked at a conference of Gush Etzion mayors how long she thought the government would last, Shaked replied: "The truth is, I have no idea. Both as Minister of Justice and now, I work every day of my term as if every day were the last day. In politics, you never know, and I try to get as much done as possible." Shaked spoke about how that perception affects her parliamentary activity. "In the coming month, I will appoint most of the senior positions in the Planning Administration. This is very important, and I am dealing with endless crises. We now have a major passport crisis at the Population and Immigration Authority. I have work all the time and I work as if it were the last day in office, because you never know.".
