During the confrontation in the plenum, Tibi accused Bennett of "knowing very well" the name of the officer who shot journalist Shirin Abu Aqla. Tibi claimed that a soldier murdered journalist Shirin Abu Aqla - and Bennett replied: "You are a liar." Tibi, in response, sneered: "There is someone they call a crook and it is not me." Tibi earned shouts from the opposition, until he had to stop them: "Calm down.".
