Kana Tanaka, who was considered the oldest person in the world, died a few days ago in the city of Fukuoka in western Japan. This was reported today by the public television network NHK. She was 119 years old when she died. She was born in 1903 - the year in which the first flight in an aircraft, by the Wright brothers, took off. About three years ago, she entered the Guinness Book of Records as the oldest person in the world still alive. According to the report on the NHK network, Tanaka - who died in the hospital - loved to eat chocolate and drink carbonated soft drinks.
