The Chief Rabbi of Israel, Rabbi David Lau, is calling on the public to pray for the recovery of his rabbinical wife, who is hospitalized at Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva in serious condition.

Rebbetzin Lau was flown in an emergency on Shabbat night from the Greek island of Crete, where the family was staying for the holiday, after she collapsed.

A senior medical team treated the rabbi throughout the flight until she was hospitalized. She was brought to Israel and hospitalized while sedated and ventilated in a Blinson.

At the hospital, the rabbi underwent complex surgery and was out of danger.
