In recent days, the "Guardians" organization in Bnei Brak has received several reports from store owners that a man in his 40s, with a sturdy build, is coming to stores and identifying himself as an Income Tax employee. Do you have any idea what kind of investor you are? Try the robot that understands people and investments The suspect asks the store clerks to empty the cash register and show him the invoices. At one point, he collects the cash register contents and claims to the clerk that he is going outside to call the staff who are with him - and then disappears. So far, several store owners have been swindled out of thousands of shekels using this method, and intelligence operations are currently being conducted - together with the Israel Police, in an attempt to track him down. Store owners are asked to instruct the sellers that, if there is an audit by the Income Tax, they should ask the inspectors to identify themselves and prove through documents that they are official representatives of the tax authorities in Israel. Store owners are also asked to keep an eye out and report any suspicious and unusual cases to the Hashomerim hotline. If there are stores that have been swindled using this method and have not yet reported to the authorities, they are asked to immediately contact the Hashomerim organization.
