"I want to introduce you to Shimon Levi. Shimon was a baby of a few weeks old, in the attack that took place on Saturday night exactly 20 years ago (Adar 5762 - March 2002) in the Beit Israel neighborhood of Jerusalem. He was rescued from under a car that was on fire from the terrible explosion. 12 people perished that night. Shimon and his family survived the inferno.
A few weeks ago, I received a sketch of the lyrics for "Ain Dvar Ra Yord Men HaShaman" from my friend, music producer Tamir Tzur. The song and message really captured my attention, and I told Tamir that on my upcoming visit to Israel, we had to record it.
The song was composed by Shimon Levy, (the baby from the attack 20 years ago) who is not only talented in writing and composing but also a singer with an amazing voice and special emotion, and I invited him to perform the song together as a duet.
We filmed the clip in the cave of Shimon the Righteous in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of Jerusalem. Tamir Tzur and Shimon's father, Rabbi Oren Levi, who blesses many and spreads the greatest miracle in the world, study together in the cave.".
