Economy Minister Naftali Bennett addressed the end of Operation Protective Edge and called for saluting the soldiers who fought in the Gaza Strip. ""This is the time to stand and salute the IDF and the soldiers for the sacrifice, dedication, and bravery they demonstrated during the fighting. There is no army like it in the world, there is no order it does not know how to carry out, and we have no resurrection without it.". This is the time to be proud of our country, of our neighbors who became reserve soldiers overnight, of friends from work who donated to the soldiers, who visited the wounded, of a people who demonstrated maturity that does not exist in any country in the world, who demonstrated resilience, unity, love of humanity and love of Israel. There are other things we need to learn and improve on. Their time will come too. I saw senior Hamas leaders coming out and celebrating. "The pictures of their celebrations will be broadcast on other days in their memory.". Bennett notes that the truth is simple: "Hamas has brought unprecedented death and destruction upon its people. We were exposed to an enemy that sanctifies killing, killing soldiers, killing a 4-year-old child, killing innocent people, through systematic education in killing. Hamas was democratically elected by the Palestinians. Abu Mazen, the chairman of the PA, sits with Hamas in a unity government, funds salaries for murderers and bears responsibility for what we have experienced here. "We will also come to terms with him.". The Minister of Economy also states that it is also time to say: ""The illusion of a Palestinian state dissipated in the tunnels of Gaza. The illusion of returning to the '67 lines flew with the missiles fired at us from the '67 lines, to which we retreated as part of the escape from Gush Katif. If a Palestinian state were to emerge, it would destroy Israel's economy, close Ben Gurion Airport, and turn Rosh HaAyin and Kfar Saba into a 'Samaria envelope.'. In a world of ISIS and Hamas, Hezbollah and the PLO, there is no alternative to power, and there is no forgiveness for retreats and flight from territory, and anyone who is still in favor of a Palestinian state should say: I saw, I was wrong, I corrected myself. We are not afraid of a long road. What was not achieved today - will be achieved next time. This is the time to hold our heads high, to be proud of who we are. We will remain strong, we have no other choice. "This is the time to love the State of Israel. We have sacrificed so much for it in the last fifty days.".
