Last weekend, the Israel Police arrested a suspect, a resident of Beit Shemesh, on suspicion of committing serious offenses and using violence against a family member.

His arrest was carried out after the police received a report about the acts attributed to the suspect, in his 20s. Police officers from the Beit Shemesh station in the Jerusalem district arrested him and he was taken for questioning at the police station. According to the suspicion, the suspect committed serious and indecent acts against a family member and even threatened to harm him if he told what had happened. When the police arrived at his residence, the suspect tried to escape. After a foot chase into a construction site, he was arrested by the police. The suspect's detention was extended by 4 days on Tuesday, until Monday. The investigation is ongoing.
