Deputy Economy Minister Yair Golan spoke to Bedouins in the Negev, seeking to reassure them - telling them what was being done for their benefit and mocking Minister Elkin.

In a video published by journalist Amit Segal, Golan is heard saying: "Elkin went wild? Okay, we'll calm him down. There are those who will calm him down. Remember, he has no power in the government. If tomorrow morning we tell him, 'Dear, if you don't stop this, tomorrow we will no longer vote with the government's laws.'" Golan emphasized to the Bedouins: "Today you have power in the government that the Bedouins in the Negev have never had. Not only RAAM. RAAT will protect your interests, I hope Labor will too. I can tell you that Meir Cohen from Mish Atid is with you. Alon Shuster from Blue and White is with you. We established an agricultural lobby in the Knesset. We stopped all of Forer and Lieberman's moves. So why don't we stop Elkin, what's the problem?""
'"You have to work smart," Yair Golan advised them. "Do what is necessary on the ground, there is a very strong lobby in favor of the Bedouins within the Knesset. Let it work. I was surprised by this, I didn't know that the tractors were going into the field this morning. I don't know about it." MK Bezalel Smotrich responded to Yair Golan and wrote on Twitter: "'Do what is necessary on the ground.' Yair Golan is explicitly inciting the Bedouins to terrorism and violence against the State of Israel, its police and its citizens. There is no bottom to the pit that this miserable partner of Ayelet Shaked and her friends is sinking into.".
