A loud confrontation was recorded this evening (Tuesday) at the Corona Cabinet meeting that convened in Kirya in Tel Aviv - which ended without any special decisions.
7 million American children who were vaccinated are not wrong: We got vaccinated and you should get vaccinated too
Has it been three months since your second vaccination? This is how you will protect yourself from the virus
Did you divide? For thousands of years we dreamed of Jerusalem, so now we want to dirty it?
On Saturday: The mother rested, the child pulled the trigger – and was hospitalized in serious condition
At the beginning of the meeting, Bennett urged ministers: "Be collegial. It is not correct to say that there is confusion and problematic information.".
According to a report on Channel 12, during the discussion, a heated argument developed between Minister Zeev Elkin and Bennett. Elkin tried to ask Prime Minister Naftali Bennett a few questions, and Bennett, in turn, tried to silence Elkin. Elkin said that in order to represent the government's policy, he must understand every detail, and raised his voice. Bennett told Elkin: "Don't raise your voice, ask questions, no problem, but you don't have to raise your voice." Elkin slammed Bennett: "There hasn't been a Corona cabinet for 3 weeks, if you're holding the meeting just to do a V-O and send us for interviews, then there's no need for questions - but if you want us to understand, then you have to ask. It's no wonder the public doesn't understand, if I, as a member of the Corona cabinet, don't get answers." Defense Minister Benny Gantz said: "The Omkiron is more contagious and faster. We hope it's a little less severe, but we can't forget that Delta also exists. I think that in general the policy is correct - we need to continue to focus on vaccination and testing. The 7-day isolation sounds reasonable to me in terms of its continuation." He emphasized: "I think the next discussion should be in 4 days, to see if the trends continue as we thought, and then we will make decisions." Lapid claimed: "The instructions are clear, I also say this in the media. There is no need to exaggerate the descriptions." He added: "I was infected and I am going to die and you will be terribly sad that I will not be here. Peace be upon you." Bennett said during the discussion: "In Omicron, there will be things that we will have to release given the lack of capacity. We will do the balances right now. The number of confirmed cases is not yet disabling the country. If we see in 20 days that in the balance between epidemiology and the shutdown of essential systems, a new decision needs to be made, then we will do it." Prof. Nachman Ash said in the discussion: "In our assessment, every 2.7 days - there will be a doubling. We have over 3,000 verified faculty members and 100% of those connected to ACMO are corona patients.".
According to the data presented by Al-Rai-Price in the Corona Cabinet, 24 hospitals in the UK have raised the human flag, because they cannot cope with the load. She added that there is a 4-5-fold increase in children's hospitalizations, not necessarily in intensive care. 91% of the children who are hospitalized and those over 11 are not vaccinated against Corona. Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz said: "There is a statement that I hear a lot that it is as if we have given up. These are empty words. The scope of vaccines, medicines, our enormous efforts in all areas show the opposite, we are absolutely not giving up. These are baseless things." He added: "There is a variant that dwarfs all the previous waves. What is worrying is the rapid increase in seriously ill patients. What is needed now is the strengthening of hospitals, which is necessary for this wave and for the rest of the journey. In days like these, we need to stand together - this is a difficult challenge for the entire country and it is very important that the government shows a united front." According to the report, there is a clear disagreement among the experts regarding the course of action that should be taken at this stage. The head of the cabinet of experts, Prof. Ran Blitzer, backed by Prof. Esh and Dr. Sharon Alrai-Price, said that there will likely be some harm to the treatment of seriously ill patients in the hospital and they recommended minimizing contacts in the economy, including remote working. On the other hand, Prof. Eran Segal came to the cabinet with a completely different forecast and believes that there is no way to stop this wave of illness. Therefore, he makes it clear that a lockdown like in the Netherlands will not affect the illness picture. Bennett supports this approach - and it appears that the strategy remains the same.
