Reason for concern? For the first time in Israel, a person has contracted myocarditis after being infected with Omicron. Yoav Eban revealed this evening (Sunday) on Channel 12.
Has it been three months since your second vaccination? This is how you will protect yourself from the virus
Did you divide? For thousands of years we dreamed of Jerusalem, so now we want to dirty it?
On Saturday: The mother rested, the child pulled the trigger – and was hospitalized in serious condition
The patient, a 43-year-old man, received the third vaccine in August and does not suffer from underlying diseases. He is hospitalized in the coronavirus treatment unit at Sheba Tel Hashomer Hospital. Despite previous reports of myocarditis following coronavirus or a coronavirus vaccine, no cases of the disease following infection with the Omicron strain have been reported so far. Recall that Omicron is considered a less violent variant than the Delta strain and the previous strains that have spread, so the new report may be disturbing at a time when the disease is spreading in Israel at an unprecedented rate. Prof. Shlomi Matetsky, a cardiology specialist at Sheba Tel Hashomer Hospital, told Channel 12: "This is the first time we have seen this with Omicron. This is a disturbing finding that will require thought from the medical team. We will continue to monitor this patient who is currently hospitalized in intensive care.".
